Once again, I heard Martyn Iles state that we are not in the End Times, nor does Jesus even wish us to look into these things.
Martyn Iles YT Short we are not meant to know if we are in the End Times
Martyn refers to,
"Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority."
(Acts 1:6-7)
Of course, Martyn takes these verses completely out of context because the disciples aren't actually asking about the signs of Jesus's Return. Jesus hasn't even ascended into Heaven at this point yet. What they want to know is if He's about to set up His Kingdom on earth and conquer the oppressive Roman Empire.
But just a couple verses later it says,
"After he [Jesus] said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
(Acts 1:10-11)
The belief we should not be studying Bible Prophecy is also held by his former Answers in Genesis boss, Ken Ham, who has an abnormal fixation on just the first 11 chapters of Genesis and who, like Martyn, thinks it could be THOUSANDS of years before Christ's return. Both men even refer to those of us who look into these things and consider them with the derogatory label "End Times Junkies".
(Charmed, I'm sure.)
But they are NOT alone in this belief. Many Ministers and Bible teachers completely ignore this topic and even discourage their Church members and followers from studying Eschatology (End Times Bible Prophecy) at all.
Now when God gives the prophet Daniel his End Times vision he is told,
"But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”
(Daniel 12:4)
But note, it is only "until the time of the end", the words are to remain sealed, which is why Daniel is referred to so much in the book of Revelation, because God wants us to know it's time to open ALL of End Times Prophecy and study it, including but not limited to Daniel.
(NOTE. Eschatology accounts for close to 1/3 of all the Bible and is found throughout BOTH the Old and New Testaments)
But when we arrive at the last book of the Bible, Revelation, which describes FUTURE events it says,
"Then he [Jesus] told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. "
(Revelation 22:10)
So why is Bible Prophecy so absent from our pulpits?
Several Reasons:
🔴 Ministers and Bible Teachers simply aren't educated on the topic. It hasn't been taught in recent years in most Seminaries and Bible Colleges.
Pastors want to look knowledgeable and aren't going to give sermons and lessons on things they don't know about.
🔴 They may actually be False Prophets (aka Wolves in Sheeps Clothing) and actively trying to deceive us in order to rip down the church.
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons."
(Timothy 4:1)
🔴 They may be part of the End Times Apostate (Falling Away) Church whose love for Jesus, and subsequently others, has grown cold.
"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."
(Matthew 24:12-13)
🔴 Or they might be fulfilling Prophecy itself by being Last Days SCOFFERS.
"Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
(2 Peter 3:3-7)
Note, in all these cases, they follow their own evil desires and wickedness ABOVE following Jesus.
Let's get practical.
What should you do if you are stuck with a Church Leader who refuses to talk about End Times Bible Prophecy?
Let's see what the Bible has to say.
'Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them."
(Ephesians 5:6-7)
Also,
And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."
(Revelation 22:19)
Only you, with the guidance of Jesus, can decide whether to leave a church, because it is NOT something to be done quickly or lightly.
Consider first ☝️ that Jesus might wish to use YOU to help open up this topic for others in your Church, because I guarantee OTHERS are looking around at these crazy, evil times and desiring to know what God says about them too.
But regardless if you stay or leave a church, YOU 🫵 must look into these things for yourself, with daily Bible Reading and alone time with Jesus. He desires us to know them, and He will DIRECTLY reveal them to us through the Holy Spirit.
God doesn't want us to be frightened when we see these unprecedented things happening, but He wants us to know He remains in complete control and is Sovereign over it all.
Also, for us to take heart because Jesus's return IS imminent.
"He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus."
(Revelation 22:20)
I hope I've encouraged you as I strive to bring you,
The Truth with Love,

PS. One final word to the Pastors and Preachers I mentioned briefly before. The ones who don't preach Eschatology because they weren't trained in it and, perhaps, didn't realize until now just how important it is.
Don't hesitate to tackle this as a subject just because you're not all-knowing about it. Admit that to your congregation, then simply state,
"But Jesus wants us to know these things, so we are going to open up His Holy Word, ask the Spirit to give us wisdom and discernment and learn them together."
Jesus will honor this with His Revelation blessing,
"BLESSED is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near."
(Revelation 1:3)
BTW. This promise isn't just for Ministers. It's for EVERYBODY.
(May you all be greatly blessed by reading it as I have for 46 years.)
HERE'S YOUR TREAT FOR SCROLLING TO THE BOTTOM ☺️
A 1995 musical Flashback. 🎶
"I want to live like I'm leaving
Like Heaven is in view
Live like I'm leaving
I will be evidence of You
Through the shadows of my past
Through tomorrow come what may
I want to live like I'm leaving
Just like I'm leaving today."
